Description of the genus

Terrestrial herb with tuberous roots, leafy stem and terminal inflorescence. Flowers green; sepals and petals free. Lip free, 3-lobed (rarely entire), with cylindric spur. Column erect; pollinaria.

Worldwide: 5 species from Ethiopia to Malawi and Mozambique.

Zambia: 2 taxa.
