Description:
Small tree, 2-10 m tall. Leaves thinly leathery, hairless, broadly ovate-elliptic, dark green and shiny above, paler and dull beneath, gradually narrowed in upper third to a blunt or slightly pointed apex, 2-8 cm long, 3- or 5-veined from the base or very nearly so; petiole hairless, 2-3 mm long. Inflorecences axillary and sometimes terminal as well, few-to many-flowered, congested, shorter than the leaves. Flowers fragrant, 5-merous. sepals pale green' 1-1.5 mm long. Corolla, greenish-yellow, creamy or white, 4-5 mm in diameter, hairless outside, sometimes hairy at the base of the lobes. g. Fruit ellipsoid, 1.5 cm wide, yellow, orange to red when ripe.
