| Description: |
Small procumbent to erect annual or perennial herb, usually less than 10 cm tall. Stems 4-angled, branching near the base.Leaves opposite, opposite or the lowermost shortly petiolate, elliptic-oblong, mostly 5-10 mm long; margin entire or sparsely crenate-dentate. Leaves and stems with more or less dense short stiff white hairs. Flowers solitary in the leaf axils; pedicels slender, 8-20 mm long. Calyx 3.5-5.5 mm long, with ovate-lanceolate lobes up to 1.5 mm long. Corolla blue, violet, pink or white, 8-14 mm long. Upper lip deeply bifid; lower lip 3-lobedwith wav, ciliate margins. Stamens 2. Capsule cylindric-ellipsoid 5-14 mm long. |
