Description:
Suffretex with many simple stems up to 1 m high; leaves 10-17 x (3.8)5-9 cm, 1-2(3) times as long as broad, broadly ovate, rather constricted towards the base; flower heads 10-13 cm in diameter; bracts sericeous when young, sometimes glabrescent in parts; flowers pink; perianth claw with long whitish hairs usually on the outside
