Habitat: Hyparrhenia bushed grassland with Combretum hereroense, Tarchonanthus camphoratus, Acacia karroo and Acacia fleckii. Alluvial/colluvial plane prone to fire, frost and (at least in the past) waterlogging. Reddish brown medium sandy loam topsoil.
Location: Shangani Ranch, Joseph Section, 590 metres west of the Shangani River.
