Description:
Tufted perennial 5-35 cm tall with swollen base. Leaves many, bright emerald green, almost filiform, scabrid or slightly hairy. Inflorescence a solitary terminal ovoid to lanceolate spikelet.

Angola
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola and Tanzania.
Habitat: Miombo woodland on well drained sites
Altitude range: 1500 - 1900 m
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola.
