The species is easily recognized by the long perianth tube, the narrow sepals and the plicate (corrugated) basal leaf. Perianth tube (25)35 – 45(70) mm long.
Type location:
Notes: Widespread in Zambia, though uncommon; habitat not threatened. Least concern.
Derivation of specific name: littoralis: of the seashore
Habitat: Sandy soils, on floodplains and at dambo margins.
