Description:	Climbing shrub or liane. Bark greyish, slightly wrinkled, lenticels present but inconspicuous; milky sap present. Leaves opposite, ovate to lanceolate, 2-6 cm long, thinly leathery; veining indented above, prominent and conspicuous below, scarcely apiculate; margin entire, slightly rolled under. Flowers in terminal and lateral inflorescences, creamy-white or yellowish, papillate hairy in the corolla mouth, heavily scented. Corolla lobes 2 - 3.5 mm wide. Fruit in paired slender follicles, up to 30 cm long, curved, dark grey. Seeds with an apical tuft of golden brown hairs, 2.5-4.5 cm long.
