Description:
Erect, annual herb up to 1 m high.Leaves opposite, narrowly to broadly ovate, up to 17 cm long, thinly textured, pubescent on both surfaces and with minute gland-dots beneath, leaf base running down the petiole; margin coarsely and irregularly serrate-crenate; petiole up to 10 cm long, pubescent. Inflorescence a lax leafy panicle,up to 30 cm in diameter with ultimate branches slender. up to 1 cm long. Capitula c. 1 cm in diameter; involucral bracts 3-5, linear-spathulate, 3-7 mm long, covered with sticky glands and simple hairs. Florets yellow; ray-florets with a limb c. 1.3 mm long, spreading, 3-fid. Achenes obovoid-oblong, c. 2.7 mm long,curved, more or less 4-sided, blackish, glandular puberulent.
