Description:
A low-growing bushy herb with pale annual stems arising from a slender taproot. Stems up to 60 cm. long, stems and leaves pale grey lanate. Leaves elliptic, mostly more than 7 mm. wide, widest above the middle, narrowing to a winged midrib below. Capitula with numerous phyllaries, papery, the innermost longest, recurved.
