| Description: |
Leaves more than 7 mm wide, margins ciliate. Flowers generally more than 2 per umbel; zygomorphic, perianth tube curved at anthesis, the segments connivent into a funnel or bell, with a purplish or red keel; stamens declinate, anthers yellowish, greyish or brownish. Fruits glossy, bright yellow or orange. Seeds 3-13, glabrous,pale green, with a rough greyish outer covering. |

| Notes: | Difficult to distinguish from C. crassicaule when not in fruit. The two species are sympatric, also occupying similar habitats. The pink colouring of the midrib of the sepals is generally more conspicuous in this species, but this needs to be confirmed. |
