| Description: |
Plants forming aggregated clones by vegetative propagation from rhizomes below the bottle shaped bulbs; bulbs up to 9 cm in diameter. Leaves distichous or sub-distichous, erect or sub-erect, deeply channelled or U-shaped, up to 75 × 2.5 cm. with thick woolly fibres. Scape lateral, reddish, 55-70 cm long; Inflorescence with up to 11 flowers. Pedicel 0-1 cm in flower. Perianth tube 12-16 cm long, reddish-green; perianth segments white, drooping at anthesis. Anthers black. Fruit and seeds not seen. |
