Description:
Soft-woody shrub up to 3 m high with brown or whitish strigose, mostly appressed hairs. Leaves imparipinnate, 6-15 cm long, with 12-21 leaflets; petiole17-30 mm long; stipules linear-lanceolate, 4-8 mm long, spreading or reflexed. Leaflets elliptic oblong, 9-30 mm long, often with a mucro at the apex, sparsely strigose with biramous hairs on both surfaces; terminal leaflet somewhat smaller and often obovate. Inflorescences in dense racemes, 20-50-flowered, 2-12 cm long on peduncles 2-6.5 cm long. Calyx 1.5-2.5 mm long, densely strigose with brown hairs; lobes lanceolate to broadly triangular, shorter than or equalling ; lower lobe longest. Corola 8-10 mm long with standard densely white velvety on the back. Pods 32-40 mm long, upturned at the apex more or less hairless or sparsely anf minutely strigose.

Notes:
Derivation of specific name: roseo-caerulea: pinkish-blue
Habitat: Forest margins, secondary forest and in bush clumps in montane grassland.
Altitude range: 2000 - 2200 m

Worldwide distribution: Eastern DRC, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Northern Malawi and Zambia (Nyika only).
