Description:
Terrestrial herb 20-40 cm tall; tubers ovoid, up to 17 x 10 mm, villous; leaves 3-6, spaced along the stem basal, up to 7 x 0.4 cm; inflorescence 1-flowered, rarely 2-flowered; pedicel 4-8 cm long; ovary 1.5 cm long; bracts 2-2.5 cm long; flowers cream to creamy white, rarely red; dorsal sepal erect, 11.5-12 x 8-9 mm, ovate, convex, rounded at the apex or apiculate; lateral sepals spreading, 13-14 x 4-5 mm, curved-lanceolate, oblique; petals 11.5 x 7-8.5 mm, curved, obliquely triangular-ovate, adnate to dorsal sepal; lip entire, deflexed or incurved, 14.5-18 x 3.5-4.5 mm, ligulate with a narrow base, longitudinally convex; spur 5.5-7 cm long, pendent, swollen at apex; anther 5.5 mm high, canals very short; stigmatic arms 3 mm long.
