Description:
Terrestrial herb 17-45 cm tall from subterranean conical tubers c. 1 x 1-1.2 cm; leaves 3, erect, 20-45 cm x 1-3 mm, linear and grass-like, acute, present at flowering and longer than the inflorescence; inflorescence densely several to many-flowered, scape covered by brown papery acuminate sheaths; pedicel and ovary 8-10 mm long; bracts 8-38 mm long, linear and acuminate; flowers lemon or canary yellow, the lip deeper in colour and sometimes with an orange tip; sepals and petals elliptic-oblong, acuminate; dorsal sepal 18 x 5 mm, lateral sepals 20-22 x 7-8 mm; petals 12 x 4 mm, shorter than sepals; lip 8-12 x 5.5-8 mm, 3-lobed; side lobes rounded in front and almost as long as mid-lobe; mid-lobe obtuse, ovate-elliptic, with a callus of 2 basal ridges and shortly papillate on the apex at the base of the mid-lobe; spur 3-3.5 mm long, cylindrical, slightly incurved.
