Common names: False ashok tree (English: Zambia) False ashoka tree (English: Zambia)
Notes: Specimens of this species, specifically a tall narrowly columnar form, were seen quite frequently as planted street trees in Livingstone, Zambia on 29 June 2022. No specimens were seen on the Zimbabwean side of the border, though.
Derivation of specific name: longifolium: with long leaves.
