Three new online floras about Central Africa

We are proud to present the addition of three new countries to our Online Flora Database system.

In close cooperation with the Botanic Garden Meise in Belgium we have started Online Floras of Burundi, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Thanks to the diligent work of Salvator Ntore, Petra Ballings, Mieke Berckx and Marc Sosef, the Burundi site already represents a near comprehensive checklist. The checklists of Rwanda and DRC are still being developed but we hope to be able to complete them soon.

This site provides information about the flowering plants and ferns of Zambia.

This is one of six e-flora websites, based on the foundation of Flora Zambesiaca, which describe the floras of Botswana, Caprivi, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe collectively covering the Flora Zambesiaca area. We also have sister sites focusing on Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, together covering the Flore d' Afrique Centrale area.
