Description of the genus

Trees. Leaves imparipinnate, leaflets entire, stellate-puberulous. Flowers borne in large cymose panicles. Calyx cupuliform with 5 minute teeth; petals 5, free, much longer than the calyx in bud. Fruit drupaceous, indehiscent.

Worldwide: Four species in Africa and Madagascar.

Zambia: 1 taxon.
