Derivation of name: combining the name of Jorge VĂ­ctor Crisci (1945- ), botanist from Argentina with expertise in systematics and biogeography of Asteraceae; and anthos (Gr) meaning flower.

Worldwide: 1 species in northern Zambia and Malawi
