Description of the genus

Shrubs or lianes. Leaves digitate with long petioles. Inflorescence of compound umbels, arranged in a raceme or panicle. Petals and sepals 5-10, equal in number. Styles 5-8. Fruit subspherical to ovoid.

Worldwide: 15 species in Tropical Africa and western Indian Ocean Islands.

Zambia: 3 taxa.
