Glossary: pinnate

Definition:

a leaf composed of more than 3 leaflets arranged in two rows along a common stalk or rhachis.

A single leaf of Fagaropsis angolensis, taken at Imire Game Park. This is an example of an imparipinnate leaf, one that has a terminal leaflet.
