Species details:

Note: Flying year round.
This species is mimicked by other butterflies such as the female Papilio dardanus cenea f. hippocoonides (Mocker swallowtail), Hypolimnas anthedon wahlbergi (Variable diadem) and female Eunanthe wakefieldi (Forest Queen).
Distribution: Eastern Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa as far as KwaZulu-Natal.
