Location (short): The Park consists of 3 city blocks bounded by Josiah Chinamano Avenue on the northern side, Herbert Chitepo Avenue to the south and lying between Seventh and Eighth Streets.

Location (detailed): The Park consists of 3 city blocks as described above. The two northernmost blocks were at the time of writing (January 2020) open to the public without charge; the southern block which contains a park for children, including a small train, boats and a chairlift is accessible on payment of a fee.

Description

Greenwood Park was at one time the Botanic Garden of Harare before the present Botanic Garden was established at its present site in Alexandra Park. The Park contains some exceptionally large mature trees, notably species of Ficus microcarpa, Ficus lutea, Faidherbia albida, Jacaranda mimosifolia and Mystroxylon aethiopicum. There are also a wide variety of indigenous and exotic woody species.
