Date of birth: 1961 BiographyGerman botanist (bryologist, pteridologist, lichenologist) and naturalist. Eberhard Fischer currently works at the Department of Biology, Universität Koblenz-Landau where he does research in Botany, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Apart from describing many new species he wrote, among other things, 'Soil and vegetation-geographical investigations in the Westerwald', 'Moss and Fern plants of Europe', 'Illustrated Field Guide to the Plants of Nyungwe National Park Rwanda'.
