Habitat: Riverside moist forest on loose sandy-loam soils. With numerous Uapaca lissopyrena, Millettia stuhlmannii, Breonadia; Funtumia africana common in the understorey. Growing on damp riverside sands.
Location: Chimanimani foothills, Maronga, Murere River camp, Madzireni Forest.
