Habitat: Along the escarpment and into the gorge, exiting to the Zambezi River. In Mopane-Terminalia woodland with cambisol-luvisol soil.

Notes: Herb; 1.0 m, spreading to erect. Leaves paler below. Bracts pale green with white, stiff hairs on margin. Bracts closely ascending. Corolla sky blue lobes, white throat. Anthers dirty yellow. Fruit single 'pod'.
