| Description: |
Leaves green, never glaucous, distinctly ciliate, spreading, longer leaves reaching the ground, up to 40 × 4 cm, smelling slightly of peach, not foetid. Scapes 1-2, sub-erect lateral, inflorescence 3-7 flowered, pedicels 1.5-3 cm long. Perianth tube 11-12 cm long; segments acuminate forming a funnel, with pale pink keel. Inner perianth segments up to 1.5 cm broad. Seeds large, papillose, greenish turning black when exposed to air, sinking in water. |

Although the Zambian population differs slightly from the type material from Tanzania, DNA analysis shows that they are distinct. Conservation status: Endangered. The Zambian population, which appears to have a very restricted distribution, is threatened by property development. |
