A soft-woody shrub up to 6 m tall, but mostly c. 3 m. Branchlets puberulous to pubescent, becoming glabrous. Leaf-lamina 7-10 × 5-7 cm, unlobed, narrowly ovate, apex usually acuminate, margin closely and finely serrate, base 5-7(-9)-nerved, deeply cordate, upper surface scabrid-puberulous, lower surface softly and densely tomentellous, tertiary nerves distinct. Inflorescence 2-5-flowered, subumbellate. Petals pink, 2-2.5 × 1.5-1.8 cm. |
