Description:
Perennial herb with erect or semiprostrate stems up to 25 cm tall, growing from a tuberous rootstock. Leaves linear to oblong, 1.7-9 cm long, more or less densely bristly hairy on both surfaces, particularly on the margin and veins beneath; petiole 2-5 mm long. Flowers solitary in the upper leaf axils on a peduncle up to 3 cm long; bracts linear up to 2 cm long. Sepala linear-triangular, 0.8-1.7 cm long, bristly hairy. Corolla tubular, little expanded above, 1.8-3.7 cm long, orange-yellow, pale yellow or white, hairless except for mid-petaline areas below the apices. Capsule globose, hairless.
