Description: |
Slender perennial herb, up to 50 cm high. Leaves linear, 9-20 cm long. Peduncle 15-30 cm long. Involucral bracts broadly lanceolate, 1-2 cm long. Inflorescence 3-8-flowered on pedicels upto 3.5 cm long in fruit. Flowers with a tube up to 7 mm long; perianth lobes, green often tinged purple,spreading to somewhat reflexed. Corona slightly broader than perianth tube,obscurely 3-6-crenate, orange-to orange-brown, 2-3 mm long. Capsule obcordate, up to 8 mm long. |
