Description:
Medium to large tree. Bark grey, smooth, with creamy-white latex. Leaves simple alternate, elliptic, up to 14 cm long, somewhat leathery, dark glossy green above, hairless; apex with a distinct driptip c. 15 mm long; margin entire, somewhat rolled under; petiole 3-15 mm long. Inflorescences up to c. 1 cm in diameter on a bellshaped receptacle; peduncle up to 1.5 cm long. Flowers unisexual on the same receptacle; perianth segments absent; male flowers many with creamy-white to mauve stamens; female flowers solitary with a 2-3-lobed style. Fruit fig-like, embedded within the fleshy receptacle, ellipsoid c. 2 cm long.
