Description:
This variety differs from var. viscosum by the narrowly lanceolate or narrowly oblanceolate leaves, usually 3-7.5 times as long as wide, and the pedicels up to 6 mm long.

Derivation of specific name: viscosum: viscid, sticky
Habitat: It is mostly found in open areas in mopane woodland and along roadsides, often in moist places and sandy soils.
