Description:
Suffrutex with erect stems, usually pubescent when young. Leaves with 2-4 pairs of pinnae; leaflets in 7-13 pairs. Racemes 1-3 together in leaf axils. Pods straight to strongly curved.

Derivation of specific name: arenaria: of sandy places
Habitat: Woodland or grassland on Kalahari Sand.
Altitude range: 900 - 1200 m
Flowering time:Oct - Jan
Worldwide distribution: In D.R. Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Angola.
