Small annual herb with ascending, fleshy reddish-purple stems, up to 40 cm. Leaves opposite, ovate to elliptic, up to 60 × 20 mm but usually much smaller; margins shallowly to deeply crenate, rarely appearing pinnatifid. Inflorescence a lax panicle. Flowers often one-sided on the inflorescence branches. Corolla deep purple, violet or bluish; upper lip more or less 4-lobed marked with darker dots; lower lip slightly concave to boat-shaped. |
