Description:
Straggling or procumbent perennial or annual herb. Stems up to 4 m long, distinctly 4-angled, hairy on the angles. Leaves opposite, elliptic, up to 6.5 cm long, green to yellowish-green, with rough, tubercle based hairs. Stipules frilled with 5-7 setae, up to 7 mm long. Flowers in few-flowered clusters at the nodes. Corolla with 4 triangular lobes, small, mauve or white, somewhat hairy outside. Stamens and style exserted. Fruit oblong-ellipsoid, up to 3.5 × 2.5 mm.
