Small tree, glabrous; branches thick; leaves in whorls of 3, thick leathery, petiole short, 2-4 mm. Flowers borne in leaf axils or on old wood. Fruit ovoid-globose, yellow when ripe, 1-3 seeded. The tree is described (in FZ) as having the habit of Uapaca kirkiana, but it is even more like the dwarf tree Uapaca pilosa. |
