Suffrutex 0.3-1.5 m tall. Leaves 3-4-whorled. Inflorescence glabrous, 1-3-flowered, peduncle, calyx and corolla in bud red; corolla tube straight, 1.4-2.7 cm long, lobes pale cream to yellow inside, contrasting sharply in the open flower with the red colour of outer parts. Style 28-34 mm long, pollen presenter large, broadly obconic-coroniform. |
