Subshrub showing marked variation in the form of the indumentum, from being almost completely glabrous to having leaves, stems and inflorescence pubescent. Leaves glabrous to pubescent beneath, blades not markedly discolorous. Leaves in whorls of 3-4, or opposite towards the tips of the stems.
