Description:
Suffrutex with a very short stem arising from a woody tuber, not aromatic. Leaves usually 4 in a basal rosette, flat on the ground, sessile, large, broadly ovate or elliptic, 10-30 cm long, pubescent and with reddish sessile glands; margin often more or less deeply bicrenate. Inflorescence branching above, fairly lax with 6-flowered verticils. Calyx 3-4 mm long, purplish, densely hairy and with red sessile glands. Corolla reddish-purple, 11-14 mm long, sparsely pubescent and with reddish sessile glands; tube 6-7 mm long; both lips of equal length, 6-7 mm long.
