Description of the genus

Trees. Leaves alternate or opposite, 3–5-foliolate. Inflorescence terminal and axillary panicles. Flowers 4-merous; sepals 4; petals 4, valvate or slightly imbricate. Fruit of 1–4 1-seeded drupes. Seed with a thin testa; endosperm absent.

Zambia: 1 taxon.
