Description: |
Densely caespitose perennial; culms up to 100 cm high; leaf laminas 5–30 cm × 2–5 mm. Raceme 6–10 cm long, stiff, grey; internodes clavate, pubescent, the scarious rim at the summit incomplete and exposing much of the callus. Sessile spikelet narrowly oblong-elliptic; inferior glume 5–7 mm long, glabrous or pubescent only towards the apex, the nerves prominently raised and rib-like, the margins not muricate. Pedicelled spikelet almost as long as the sessile, sometimes reduced. |
