| Description: |
Slender deciduous tree. Bark grey, flaking in older trees. Leaves imparipinnate with 3-7 pairs of leaflets and a terminal leaflet; leaflets oblong to oblanceolate, 4-9 cm long, dark green above, paler and velvety below, particularly when young; apex tapering. Flowers in pendulous sprays, pale-mauve to purple, appearing before the new leaves. Pods in pendulous clusters, flat, up to 10 cm long, straw-coloured to pale brown, indehiscent. |
