Description:
|
Twining herb with underground tubers. Stems long, much-branched, producing numerous air tubers (bulbils) in the leaf axils. Leaves thick, fleshy, ovate to lanceolate; base cordate. Racemes to 30 cm long with numerous pedicellate flowers. Perianth segments 2.5-3 mm, white, subtended by 2 bracteoles. Fruits apparently never produced, reproduction taking place vegetatively via the bulbils. |
