Shrublet up to 40 cm tall of ericoid appearance with glabrous, slightly winged stems; leaves8-15 x 0.5-2 mm, linear to very narrowly oblanceolate, glabrous, apex often hooked or barbed, margin slightly incurved; inflorescence in dense subcapitate lateral racemes c. 2 cm in diameter; flowers greenish or yellowish with blue crest; posterior sepal 3-3.5 mm long; wing sepals 7-10 x 5-5.5 mm, obliquely ovate-elliptic and ciliolate on the margins; anterior sepals 2.5-3 mm long, connate (fused); upper petals 4 x 2.5 mm, obovate-cuneate, contorted; carina 6 x 2 mm, crest 2-2.5 mm long; capsule 4.5 x 2.5 mm, oblong-elliptic, glabrous, with narrowly winged margins; seeds 2.8-3 x 1.2-1.7 mm, ellipsoid with white silky hairs; caruncle 1 mm long with small appendages. |
