Description: |
Terrestrial herb 25-75 cm tall; tubers globose, c. 2 x 1.7 cm; leaves 8-10, the lowermost 1-2 forming funnel-shaped sheaths, upper leaves semi-spreading, 10.5-14 x 2.5-4 cm, lanceolate; inflorescence c. 10.5-14 x 2.5-4 cm, fairly densely 5-10 flowered; bracts 5-6 cm long, leafy with transparent papillose hairs; pedicel c. 6 cm long, ovary 1-1.5 cm long; sepals white with tips golden-yellow; petals and lip yellow, whitish at the base; dorsal sepal reflexed, 10-12 x 4 mm; lateral sepals spreading, 11-12 x 4-5 mm, obliquely semi-ovate; petals 2-lobed, upper lobe erect, 8.5-11 x 1.3-2 mm, oblong to oblanceolate, curved; lower lobe erect, 12-14 x 1-1.5 mm, oblong, curved; lip 3-lobed to 2 mm from base; mid-lobe 16-18 x 0.5 mm, linear, apex bent forward; side lobes 12-13 x 1-1.5 mm, lanceolate; spur 5-7.5 cm long, pendent, slender, swollen in last 1.5 cm; anther 2-3 mm high, canals 9-10 mm long; stigmatic arms, 9-11 mm long. |
