| Description: |
Perennial, up to 34 cm tall, with stolons and small round tubers at the base of the culm. Culm 3-angled, edges smooth or slightly scabrid. Inflorescence a simple anthela. Glumes dark red-brown or black. The round tubers distinguish this from other wetland species of similar habit, compare C. tenax and C. deciduus. |
